Caught off guard, Toru struggles to keep his cool. One day, on the way home, Kishi notices something about how Toru interacts with other kids. Focusing on what’s inside rather than outward looks, Kishi sincerely praises Toru’s good qualities, sparking small but real changes in him.

3. Lesson 3: Nobishiro Obake

Yankee high schooler Toru (Koki Tanaka) desperately tries to resist getting swept up in Kishi Knight’s (Rei Sawamura) pace, but inevitably gets carried along by his flow. Even when Toru scores zero on a math mini‑test, Kishi Knight flashes his prince‑like smile and declares, “Mistakes are wonderful teaching tools.” He goes all out praising Toru as a “growth‑potential monster,” throwing him completely off balance. During English class, Kishi Knight suddenly brushes a gentle finger against Toru’s lips, offers him Okocha tea to help him relax, and treats him to a full course of gentlemanly behavior, leaving Toru’s heart racing from start to finish. P.S: Nobishiro Obake is a character from Japanese folklore, symbolizing growth and success.
